Job summary

Centria Autism is hiring Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children under a BCBA's guidance. You’ll implement individualized intervention plans, teach communication, social, and daily living skills, and help reduce challenging behaviors in a supportive team.

Training is provided, no prior experience required. This role requires physical stamina to stand, move, and assist children up to 50 pounds; compassionate, patient team players are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a CPR/First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills
• Reduce interfering behaviors and track progress
• Collaborate with a team to support each child and family
