Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children in Portland, OR. Training is provided and supervision is available from a BCBA to implement individualized behavior plans.

You should be patient, compassionate, and able to collaborate with a team. No prior experience is required; training is provided. You must be able to stand, walk, sit, lift up to 50 pounds, and engage children in activities that support communication and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• One-on-one work with children implementing behavior intervention plans
• Assist under BCBA supervision to teach communication, social and daily living skills
