Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children diagnosed with autism. You will implement individualized behavior plans under a BCBA, using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training; no prior experience required. You will need to be patient, compassionate, and able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Passion for helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Candidates must obtain a Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Support children in reducing interfering behaviors.
