Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism under the direction of a BCBA. You will implement individualized plans, teaching communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.

Ideal candidates are patient, compassionate, and team-oriented. Training is provided; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and pass required certifications and background checks. Pay ranges from $17 to $20 per hour in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year).
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
