Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children on the autism spectrum under a BCBA. You will implement individualized intervention plans and teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques while reducing challenging behaviors.

Candidates should be patient, compassionate, and able to work in a team. Training is provided, and you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Pay ranges from $17 to $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA to implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Reduce interfering behaviors while supporting children's progress.
• Be patient, compassionate, and a team player; participate in training provided.
