Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children. You will implement individualized behavior plans under a BCBA, using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training so you can help each child reach their full potential, even if you lack prior experience. The role requires physical activity and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Reduce interfering behaviors.
• Help children reach their full potential and participate in activities.
• Move and assist with activities and transitions as needed.
