Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians in Texas to support children with autism. You will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior plans under a BCBA, using evidence-based strategies to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.

The role requires patience and teamwork; training is provided. Must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and be able to obtain CPR/First Aid and a TB test.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Candidates must obtain an Registered Behavior Technician Certification after completing onboarding

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Move, stand, walk, sit, grasp, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, squat, lift and potentially carry children or objects up to 50 pounds.
