Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children diagnosed with autism. You will implement individualized behavior plans under the guidance of a BCBA, employing evidence-based methods to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

Applicants should be passionate, patient, and team-oriented. Training is provided; the role requires standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to obtain

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age; high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and TB test; pass background check; lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills; reduce interfering behaviors.
• Be able to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Collaborate with the BCBA and the team; participate in training and onboarding.
