Job summary

Centria Autism in Overlea, Maryland is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism under the guidance of a BCBA. You will implement individualized intervention plans, teaching communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.

No prior experience required; comprehensive training is provided. You must be patient, compassionate, and able to stand, walk, sit, lift up to 50 pounds, and obtain CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about helping children with autism.
• 18+ years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 lbs.
• RBT Certification required within 45 days of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with the team to reduce interfering behaviors and ensure safety.
• Provide support and participate in daily activities as part of a caring team.
