Job summary

Centria Autism in Michigan seeks enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support one-on-one therapy for children with autism under a BCBA supervision. You will implement individualized intervention plans and use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

No prior experience is required as training is provided. You should be patient, compassionate, able to work in a team, and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
