Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA. You will use evidence-based methods to teach communication, social skills and daily living activities while promoting positive behaviors. Candidates should be patient, compassionate, and team-oriented.

Training is provided. The role involves physical activity and may require lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (within last year)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans using evidence-based techniques
