Job summary

Centria Autism in Michigan is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children on the autism spectrum. You will implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA, teaching communication, social, and daily living skills.

No experience is required; comprehensive training is provided. Candidates must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, pass background checks, and eventually obtain a Registered Behavior Technician certification after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and TB test
• Background check required
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under BCBA guidance
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills
• Use evidence-based techniques to reduce interfering behaviors
• Move and position oneself to assist children safely
