Centria Autism in Farmington Hills, MI is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism under the guidance of a BCBA. No prior experience required as comprehensive training is provided.

You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. The position involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with pay rate $19 - $25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Be comfortable standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and occasionally carrying children or objects up to 50 pounds.
• Contribute to a supportive, collaborative team environment and participate in training.
