Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic individuals for Behavior Technician roles. You will work one-on-one with children, applying individualized intervention plans under a BCBA’s guidance to teach communication and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training and a supportive team environment. Prior experience isn’t required, and the job involves physical activity including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test.
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• One-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with the team and participate in training.
• Support children safely in various activities throughout the day.
