Job summary

Centria Autism in Portland, OR is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized plans under the supervision of a BCBA. You will teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques and help reduce challenging behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training; the role requires patience, teamwork, and physical activity such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Contribute to reducing interfering behaviors and support family goals.
