Job summary

Centria Autism in Oregon is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism in a one-on-one setting under the guidance of a BCBA. You will implement individualized intervention plans and use evidence-based strategies to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

We provide comprehensive training, emphasize teamwork, and value patience and compassion. The role involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed, with pay range $19-$24 per hour.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be 18+ years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated patience, compassion, and ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid certification and TB test within required timeframe.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to move in various positions (sit, stand, bend, squat, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Assist in reducing interfering behaviors and support generalization of skills.
