Job summary

The North Middlesex Regional School District seeks a Long-Term Substitute LEAP Paraprofessional for Squannacook Early Childhood Center in Townsend, MA. The position runs Oct 1, 2026 through Dec 1, 2026, Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–2:45 PM, and is full-time.

Responsibilities include ABA-based support, data collection, and collaboration with teachers and BCBA to support students with autism and related needs in a low staff-to-student classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children and with Autism or social/emotional/behavioral disorders.
• ABA experience—implementing behavior plans and teaching using ABA in discrete trial and incidental contexts.
• Good communication skills and ability to take/seek feedback with diverse staff.

Responsibilities

• Run discrete teaching trials (language, communication, social-pragmatic, etc.) in 1:1 or 1:2 settings.
• Prompt, model, and reinforce social interactions and appropriate play/behaviors.
• Collect data on IEP benchmarks and communicate needs/observations to staff and BCBA.
