Job summary

Braintree Public Schools is seeking a Long Term Substitute Paraeducator for Flaherty Elementary School to cover a maternity leave from Sep 1, 2026 through Oct 1, 2026. The LINKS program supports students with autism in inclusive and specialized settings, with aides assisting teachers and providers to help students access curriculum and build independence.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent; a related Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred.
• Experience with autism or related disabilities preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and behavioral support to help students access curriculum and participate in school activities.
• Supervise and support students during daily activities, reinforcing positive behaviors and social skills.
• Assist with clerical duties and data collection as directed by staff.
