Job summary

SerpApi is seeking an Events & Sponsorships Manager to own and advance our presence in Austin and Central Texas. You will host visitors at the Austin office, run our presence at conventions, university career fairs, and sponsor hackathons, coordinating across teams to maximize impact.

This full-time, on-site role requires budget ownership, strong written communication, and hands-on event logistics. You will build local outreach, manage sponsorships, and report on outcomes to guide future

Qualifications

• 3–6 years running events or sponsorships, ideally in B2B technology or developer-facing work.
• Demonstrated ownership of a budget, including vendor negotiation and reconciling spend against outcomes.
• Strong written communication. We are an async, written-first company and most coordination happens in text.
• Comfort with event logistics under deadline: contracts, headcount, floor plans, and on-the-fly fixes.
• Enough technical literacy to explain what an API does and why a developer should care.

Responsibilities

• Host visitors at our Austin office and manage hospitality for events.
• Own the annual Central Texas event calendar including conventions, developer conferences, hackathons, and career fairs.
• Negotiate sponsorship tiers, booth placement, speaking slots, and contracts with organizers.
• Run booth logistics end-to-end: build/teardown, staffing, demos, collateral, and lead capture.
• Partner with the hiring team on career fairs at UT Austin, Texas State, Texas A&M, and local bootcamps.
• Source and manage hackathon sponsorships across Austin and Central Texas.
• Coordinate with Developer Advocates on workshops, office hours, and judging at sponsored events.
• Design and run internship and local impact programs covering STEM education and mentorship.
• Build SerpApi's presence in the Austin tech community through meetups and developer events.
• Own the local events budget and report on spend vs. outcomes.
• Publish an annual recap of local community investments.
