Job summary

Berklee College of Music is seeking an Auditions and Interviews Manager to lead the design, execution, and tech optimization of A&I processes for the college and Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in high-volume event management, admissions, or program ops.
• Musical background or professional experience in the musical arts preferred.
• Advanced skills with admissions software, specifically Salesforce, Zoom, FormAssembly, and FileMaker Pro.
• Strong interpersonal communication with diverse applicant populations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the A&I team, including Assistant Directors, the Auditions Coordinator, and student employees.
• Conduct training on Salesforce systems, event guidelines, and best practices for in-person and online auditions.
• Serve as the primary liaison for faculty during auditions, managing schedules, training, and payment processing with Academic Affairs.
• Oversee logistics, venue setups, equipment, and catering for Boston, regional, and online audition events via Zoom.
• Serve as the main technical resource for virtual auditions, online registration systems, and digital lead tracking.
• Evaluate venue suitability, assess equipment requirements, and maintain partner relationships for domestic audition locations.
• Strategic Reporting: Analyze event ROI, attendance metrics, rating evaluations, matriculation outcomes, and cost assessments.
• VIP Applicant Experience: Provide high-touch counseling to prospective students and families on audition formats, admissions eligibility, housing, and financial aid.

Job Description: Under the direction of the Associate Director of Campus Visits and Recruitment Events, the Auditions and Interviews Manager leads the design, execution, and tech optimization of audition and interview (A&I) processes for Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Managing in-person, online, domestic, and international audition events, this role provides world-class service to prospective students while leveraging data analytics and CRM systems. Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Team Supervision: Team Management: Direct and supervise the A&I team, including Assistant Directors, the Auditions Coordinator, and student employees. What You'll Bring

Experience: 3–5+ years of relatable experience in high-volume event management, higher education admissions, or program operations. Musical Background: Formal music training or professional experience in the musical arts is strongly preferred. Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills with admissions software, specifically Salesforce, Zoom, FormAssembly, and FileMaker Pro. Core Competencies: Exceptional interpersonal communication skills; ability to counsel diverse applicant populations with tact and diplomacy. Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work seasonal evenings/weekends for auditions and campus events like Open House and Orientation.
