Job description

Job Description: Boston Conservatory at Berklee is seeking a full-time, student-focused Assistant Director of Admissions Services. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Admissions, you will serve as the primary admissions contact for prospective students, parents, and counselors, focusing on our Dance and Voice programs. This role combines national recruitment strategy, application pipeline management, website content oversight, and end-to-end planning for regional and on-campus auditions. At Berklee, your work directly supports the next generation of creative leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audition Logistics & Event Management
    • Regional Tour Coordination: Design, assemble, and execute national audition tours for Dance and Voice; identify and book venues, coordinate faculty schedules, manage payments, and issue certificates of insurance.
    • On-Campus Auditions & Yield Events: Assist in planning Boston auditions, Open Houses, and accepted student yield events—managing room setups, faculty scheduling, catering, and facility requests.
  • Recruitment & Public Engagement: Execute 6–8 weeks of independent fall recruitment travel to high schools, colleges, and fairs, delivering public presentations based on historical enrollment data.
  • Applicant Pipeline & Strategic Operations
    • Student Guidance: Act as the primary point of contact for Voice and Dance applicants from initial inquiry through matriculation, assisting with registration, auditions, and document tracking.
    • Admissions Analytics & Systems: Process application materials (transcripts, recommendations, adjudication sheets) and generate regular reports via TargetX, Salesforce, and Acceptd.
    • Digital Content: Serve as the Website Content Manager for admissions-related webpages and oversee the maintenance of recruitment documents.
What You'll Bring
  • Education & Arts Background: Bachelor’s degree required (major/minor in dance, music, or theater preferred) alongside personal experience or education in the performing arts (Voice or Dance preferred).
  • Professional Experience: 2–3 years of experience in a fast-paced environment (college admissions preferred), with extensive large-scale event planning experience.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with admissions systems (Salesforce, TargetX, Acceptd), Google Suite, and website CMS management.
  • Travel & Schedule Flexibility: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel via air, train, and car for 6–8 weeks in the fall, including seasonal weekend and evening work. Limited remote work flexibility is available.
Why Choose Berklee?
  • Artistic Synergy: Represent a premier performing arts conservatory dedicated to cultivating talent in dance, music, and theater.
  • Cultural Access: Enjoy nightly, unrivaled access to world-class music, theater, and dance performances across our campus venues.
