Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking an Audit Manager to lead audit engagements, mentor staff, and strengthen client relationships. You will plan, staff, and review engagements while driving profitability and quality.

The role emphasizes developing technical expertise and delivering value across the Firm’s audit practice. Located in New Jersey, this position offers opportunities for remote or hybrid work arrangements and frequent collaboration with Principals and Partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred; CPA license strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced and varied workload with multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and report writing tools.

Responsibilities

• Assume primary responsibility for client engagements, including planning, staffing, timing, technical issues and other decisions.
• Oversee completion of engagements with minimal oversight.
• Conduct thorough engagement reviews.
• Supervise and mentor Supervisors, Senior Accountants and Staff.
• Complete annual performance evaluations and manage performance conversations.
• Assist Principals and Partners with identifying, meeting with and pursuing new clients.
• Identify opportunities to translate technical knowledge into high-value client offerings.
• Promote the Firm’s image through conferences, publications, recruiting events and trainings.
• Develop and grow client relationships through professionalism and responsiveness.
• Enhance industry skills by completing training courses.
• Increase office profitability by efficient time management.
