Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen, LLP is hiring an Audit & Assurance Director or Manager to join our Northeast Region. This in-office role supports nonprofits and other regulated clients from our Pittsburgh, Shelton, or West Hartford locations.

You will plan, supervise, and execute engagements, mentor staff, and oversee engagement letters and fees. The ideal candidate will have a CPA license, 6+ years of public accounting experience, and a proven ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation and audits.
• CPA license certification is required.
• Ability to lead a team of high-performing people.
• Strong problem-solving skills and client-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control all phases of nonprofit and affiliated engagements.
• Lead decision-making and keep the principal informed of progress.
• Develop and mentor a team through staffing, assignment planning, and staff development.
• Oversee engagement letters, fees, and client approvals before starting engagements.
• Evaluate internal controls and audit programs and present findings to the principal.
• Monitor time budgets and deadlines and communicate progress to the principal.
