Job summary

CLA is hiring an Audit & Assurance Director or Manager to join CLA's growing Northeast Region. This is an in-office role based out of one of our Pittsburgh or Connecticut office locations: Pittsburgh, PA, Shelton, CT, and West Hartford, CT.

You will lead planning, staffing, and execution of nonprofit and other engagements, delivering value to our clients. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, at least 6 years in public accounting with audits, and a CPA license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation and audits.
• CPA license certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control all phases of nonprofit and other regulated engagements.
• Plan timing, staffing and execution to deliver value to clients.
• Lead engagement decisions and keep the Engagement Principal informed.
• Develop a trained team through recruiting, planning assignments, and staff development.
• Supervise engagement letter process and ensure client sign-off.
• Evaluate internal controls and audit programs and present to the Engagement Principal.
• Monitor budgets and deadlines; communicate progress and recommendations.
• Manage client relationships and prepare final client meetings.
