EFFECTIVE DATE	2025-26 School Year
POSITION	Audio Visual Production Specialist (2 positions)
STATUS	This position will be filled according to the Civil Service rules on a probationary basis from an eligible Civil Service list or by a provisional appointment pending Civil Service examination.
REQUIREMENTS	Graduation from a New York State or regionally accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree, and two (2)years of technical experience in electronics, photography or public relations work which involved utilizing audio-visual and photographic equipment; or, Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, and four(4) years of experience in television, newspaper, magazine, marketing, electronics, photography or public relations work which involved utilizing audio-visual and photographic equipment.
LOCATION	Technology Department
DUTIES	The Audiovisual Production Specialist is responsible for the production of professional-qualityvideo presentations and the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio and video equipmentfor various events, presentations, and installations in both studio and field settings. Ensures seamless audio and visual experiences for clients and audiences. Arrange for and set up location production, including setting up peripheral lighting and sound equipment. Install, configure, and operate audio and video equipment, including video cameras, lighting, microphones, speakers, mixing consoles, projectors, screens, recording devices, and video conferencing systems. Diagnose and resolve technical issues with AV equipment and systems. May supervise staff assigned to production activities. Customary duties associated with the position.
