Job summary

ACV Auctions is looking for an enthusiastic Inspector who has a knack for cars and wants to join a growing company. Our Inspectors are the face of our company, talking to dealers about vehicle conditions with energy and clarity.

You will inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease sites, prepare condition reports and repair cost estimates, and help the sales team with upsell opportunities. Travel to sites will be required.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in the automobile field with customer service background
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather
• Problem solving and independent working skills
• Excellent communication with customers

Responsibilities

• Support efforts to enhance the customer experience
• Inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease to detect damage and mechanical issues
• Prepare and submit condition reports and cost estimates
• Assist sales team with up-sell or cross-sell opportunities
• Travel to and from dealerships to inspect and write reports
• Capture and upload vehicle photos and list vehicles for bidding on ACV Auctions platform
• Sign up independent dealerships as buyers on the platform
• Perform additional duties as assigned
