Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector who loves cars and wants to join a growing company. Inspectors are the face of ACV, explaining details to clients with energy and accuracy. You will conduct inspections, document vehicle conditions, and support the sales team to enhance customer experiences.

You will travel to dealerships and homes, create detailed condition reports, and help list vehicles on the platform. Strong English skills and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in the automobile field (body, paint and mechanical repair knowledge) with customer service background.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work outside in the elements for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Conduct inspections of vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease to detect damage, missing parts and mechanical problems.
• Prepare and submit a report of vehicle condition, repair/replacement cost estimates, and related documentation.
• Help sales team up-sell or cross-sell services and products.
• Interface with dealers to develop and ensure client satisfaction and build strong relationships.
• Travel to and from dealerships and homes to inspect, and write condition reports.
• Take multiple photos and upload them to the image server using the company smartphone.
• List inspected wholesale vehicles on the ACV Auctions platform for bidding and purchasing.
• Sign up independent dealerships as buyers to utilize the platform.
