Job summary

Heritage Auctions, the world’s largest collectibles auctioneer, is seeking an entry-level item presentation assistant in Dallas. You will sort, clean, label, and enter property information into the database, and assist with client pickups after auctions.

You’ll unpack and prepare consignments, image items, and help with shipping orders post-auction. Basic MS Outlook/Excel skills and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related experience preferred.
• Interest in Comics preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to multitask and pay great attention to detail.
• Individuals must be comfortable lifting to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Pre-auction: enter item information into the computer system accurately.
• Pre-auction: ensure all items are imaged on time.
• Pre-auction: prepare (sort, clean, and label) items for auction.
• Pre-auction: must be comfortable with day-to-day heavy lifting of antique furniture.
• Post-auction: prepare orders for shipping in compliance with procedures.
• Post-auction: ship orders immediately after auctions.
• Post-auction: process and forward items remaining onsite until payments are received.
• Post-auction: inform supervisors of any discrepancies or issues.
