Job summary

Heritage Auctions is seeking an entry-level consignments assistant to help with the presentation and handling of items for auction. You will sort, clean, label, and tag consignments, unpack items, and enter property information into the database to assist with client pickups after auctions.

The role requires comfort with heavy lifting and attention to detail, with duties including pre- and post-auction tasks and basic imaging and cataloging.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to multitask and pay great attention to detail.
• Individuals must be comfortable lifting to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Enter item information into the computer system accurately.
• Ensure all items are imaged on time.
• Prepare (sort, clean, and label) items for auction.
• Must be comfortable with day to day heavy lifting.
• Prepare orders for shipping in compliance with established procedures.
• Process and forward items remaining onsite until payments are received.
• Inform supervisors of any discrepancies or issues.
• Other duties may be assigned.

SUMMARY:

This is an entry-level position that is responsible for the presentation of consignment items, which includes sorting, heavy lifting, cleaning, and labeling. This position will help unpack, tag, and enter property information into the database and assist with client pickups after auctions.

South of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, NW corner of W. Airport Freeway (Hwy. 183) and Valley View Lane

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Outlook and Excel
• Ability to multitask and pay great attention to detail
• Individuals must be comfortable lifting to 50 pounds.
