Job summary

Globaltize is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Attorney to independently manage California employment matters from filing through resolution. This fully remote role offers meaningful ownership of litigation strategy, client communications, discovery, motion practice, depositions, negotiations and resolution—without billable-hour targets.

Qualifications

• Active CA State Bar membership in good standing.
• 5+ years of California employment litigation experience (plaintiff- or defense-side).
• Ability to independently manage litigation from intake to resolution.
• Strong legal writing and motion practice skills.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Strong knowledge of FEHA and California employment law.
• Availability for full-time work aligned with PST hours.
• Remote-work readiness with reliable internet and occasional travel within California.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of CA employment litigation from filing through resolution.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies based on case facts and objectives.
• Handle discovery, take and defend depositions.
• Draft complaints, motions, briefs, settlement demands, and other documents.
• Prepare for mediations, settlement conferences, court appearances, and negotiations.
• Communicate with clients and keep them informed throughout the process.
• Supervise law clerks and direct case-related work.
• Manage deadlines and collaborate with leadership on strategy.

Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Employment Litigation Attorney to independently manage California employment law matters from filing through resolution.

This is a fully remote opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful case ownership across litigation strategy, client communication, discovery, motion practice, depositions, negotiations, and resolution—without billable-hour targets or origination requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of California employment litigation matters from filing through resolution.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies based on the facts and objectives of each case.
• Handle written discovery and take and defend depositions.
• Draft complaints, motions, briefs, settlement demands, and other substantive legal documents.
• Prepare for and participate in mediations, settlement conferences, court appearances, and negotiations.
• Communicate directly with clients and keep them informed throughout the litigation process.
• Supervise assigned law clerks and provide direction on case-related work.
• Manage deadlines and case progression while collaborating with leadership on litigation strategy.

Requirements

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
• 5+ years of California employment litigation experience, plaintiff-side or defense-side.
• Proven ability to independently manage litigation matters from intake through resolution.
• Strong legal writing, motion practice, and litigation strategy skills.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Strong working knowledge of FEHA and California employment law.
• Availability to work a full-time schedule aligned with PST business hours.
• Professional remote workspace, reliable high-speed internet, and availability for occasional travel within California.

Nice to Have

• Experience with class action litigation.
