Key Responsibilities
- Represent employers in California labor and employment litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Defend claims involving PAGA, wage and hour disputes, FEHA matters, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other employment-related claims.
- Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, settlement negotiations, and court appearances.
- Provide strategic advice and counsel regarding employment law compliance, workplace policies, employee relations issues, and risk management.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, employment agreements, and other legal documents.
Qualifications / Nice to Have
Must Have
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar membership in good standing.
- 7+ years of California employment defense litigation experience.
- Extensive knowledge of California employment law.
- Experience defending PAGA claims.
- Proven ability to independently manage litigation matters through resolution.
Nice to Have
- Wage and hour class action defense experience.
- FEHA litigation experience.
- Advice and counsel experience.
- Experience representing employers before administrative agencies.
- Experience working directly with business owners and leadership teams.
Benefits
- Competitive base salary: $175,000 - $300,000
- Performance-based bonus opportunity
- $100 per hour for every billable and collected hour exceeding 1,900 hours annually

Required Qualifications
Active California Bar membership and substantial California employment defense litigation experience are required. Candidates must have hands-on experience handling California employment law matters, including PAGA litigation.
