Mondrian Alpha is seeking a Senior Atlassian Engineer to shape, scale, and modernize its enterprise technology platform. You will own Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence, driving automation, AI-native workflows, and integrated processes across global teams to improve collaboration and operations.

You will work closely with IT leadership to design complex service desk and HR/workflow automation, migrate from Data Center to Cloud with minimal business disruption, and promote governance,

A leading global trading firm is seeking a Senior Atlassian Engineer to help shape, scale, and modernize its enterprise technology platform. As part of the Global Infrastructure Team, you’ll drive platform innovation, streamline business workflows, and leverage automation and AI to transform how teams collaborate and operate across the organization.

As a Senior Atlassian Engineer, you will develop, manage, and modernize the Atlassian platform (Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence) and its integrations. The role combines deep technical and workflow expertise with strong communication skills, treating the platform as an internal product while driving automation, operational efficiency, and AI-native workflows across the organization.

• Have 5+ years of experience administering, developing, or architecting Jira, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence in an enterprise, multi-team environment, with expertise in custom workflows, advanced scripting, Agile practices, permissions, templates, and apps.
• Have experience migrating Jira and Confluence from Data Center to Cloud, including migration planning, data validation, testing, cutover, and minimizing business disruption.
• Have hands-on experience with JSM and ITSM best practices, including designing complex service desk workflows, request types, SLAs, routing, and service delivery processes.
• Have experience building HR and enterprise service workflows, including employee onboarding, offboarding, access requests, and case management, along with Jira Assets (CMDB), object schemas, data imports, and integrations.
• Be comfortable with Git, sandbox-to-production promotion, testing, change management, governance, monitoring, auditing, and data hygiene to maintain a secure, scalable, compliant, and reliable platform.
• Have hands-on experience with AI-native tools such as Rovo, Claude, MCP servers, agent frameworks, and prompt-based workflows to automate business processes, improve knowledge retrieval, streamline triage, and implement secure AI solutions with appropriate permissions and monitoring.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, partnering with technical teams, business units, IT leadership, and external consultants to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Drive platform modernization, automation, self-service, and continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve employee experiences, establish configuration standards, and shape the Atlassian platform roadmap.
