DRW, a diversified trading firm headquartered in Chicago, seeks a Senior Atlassian Engineer to own Jira/Confluence platform governance, migrations, and AI-enhanced workflows. You will balance deep technical work with stakeholder communication, guiding platform adoption across business units and external consultants.

The role emphasizes enterprise-scale Jira/JSM/Confluence administration, data migration, HR workflows, CMDB design, and secure integrations with Slack and identity providers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Jira Administrator/Developer/Architect experience in an enterprise environment.
• Deep Jira development expertise, including custom workflows and scripting, in an Agile setting.
• Experience administering Confluence: spaces, permissions, templates, and apps.
• Experience migrating Jira and Confluence from Data Center to Cloud, including planning and cutover.
• Hands-on with Jira Service Management and ITSM best practices; design/configure complex service desks.
• Experience building HR and enterprise service workflows in JSM (onboarding, offboarding, case management).
• Experience designing Jira Assets (CMDB), data imports, and integrations.
• Familiar with Git and controlled environment change management.
• Hands-on with AI-native tools to automate business processes; knowledge of guardrails.
• Excellent communication skills with technical teams and stakeholders.
• Atlassian certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Platform Administration: Full support of Jira and Confluence end-to-end, governance and configuration standards.
• Cloud Migration: Plan and execute Data Center to Cloud migration with minimal disruption.
• Service Management: Build and optimize JSM service desks, Assets (CMDB), and HR workflows.
• System Integrations: Design and maintain integrations between Atlassian and HR/identity systems.
• Platform Health & Hygiene: Monitor, audit, and maintain data hygiene and performance.
• Automation & Self-Service: Drive automation and self-service to reduce manual effort.
• AI Enablement: Build AI agents and workflows with guardrails to automate triage and knowledge retrieval.
• Platform Roadmap: Shape roadmap with IT leadership and adopt new Atlassian capabilities.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate across DRW to deliver secure, tailored Atlassian solutions.
• Consultant Management: Align external consultants to meet requirements and deadlines.
