Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a Construction Inspector to support field oversight and inspections on transportation projects. The role requires evaluating plans, specs, and shop drawings, monitoring QC activities, and conducting field audits to ensure conformance to requirements.

The candidate will assist senior inspectors, attend meetings, document findings, and maintain safety practices in dynamic field conditions. A valid driver’s license and certifications pursued within months are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree with required roadway/bridge inspection experience as specified.
• Must obtain required certifications within time frames (approx. 6 months).
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications.
• Proficiency with computers and reporting tools.
• Valid US Driver’s License and pass MVR review.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Inspectors in construction oversight and inspection duties.
• Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Monitor construction activities for quality compliance with standards.
• Conduct field audits of ICQA processes.
• Inspect roadways, structures, and drainage per project requirements.
• Observe and verify material sampling and testing.
• Attend pre-activity meetings with contractors and quality teams.
• Document inspection findings and prepare electronic reports.
• Uphold and promote safety practices in all activities.
