Accura Engineering in the United States is seeking a Construction Inspector to perform field inspections and oversight on roadway and bridge projects. The role involves reviewing plans, ensuring quality compliance, and assisting senior inspectors in various site activities.

The ideal candidate holds a civil engineering degree with relevant inspection experience or an equivalent combination of training and work history, plus GDOT certifications within 6 months. Night/weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree with required years of roadway/bridge inspection experience
• Alternative combinations of training and related experience accepted
• GDOT certifications required within ~6 months
• Basic proficiency in reading construction documents and using office equipment

Responsabilités

• Assist Senior Inspectors in performing construction oversight and inspection duties.
• Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct field audits of developer and ICQA processes.
• Inspect roadways, structures, and drainage systems for conformance to project requirements.
• Observe and support verification of materials sampling and testing (soils, aggregate, asphalt, concrete).
• Attend pre-activity meetings with contractors and quality teams.
• Document inspection findings and prepare electronic reports.
• Uphold and promote safety practices in all construction activities.
