Job summary

James Madison University Athletics is seeking a part-time JMU Athletics Ticket Office Student Assistant- IE to join the ticket operations team. The role handles in-person, phone, and email sales, assists with game day operations, and ensures accurate cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation.

As a student employee, you will balance duties with class schedules, work most home football games, and support pass gate operations while staying informed on all policies and schedules.

Qualifications

• Be a current, enrolled student at James Madison University.
• Candidates must be highly motivated, energetic and be able to manage a work schedule that includes nights and weekend work.
• Must possess strong customer service skills.
• Prior cash handling, credit card handling experience a plus.
• Adherence to all applicable NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patrons in person, on the phone, and via email.
• Process phone and window sales as well as game day event sales.
• End-of-day balancing of cash drawer, settlement, and reconciliation as they apply.
• Perform tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
• Stay informed and up-to-date on all policy, games, and events.
• Facilitate pass gate operations including player pass, complimentary admission, visiting team, will call, etc. as they apply.
• Assist with crowd control, ticket seller support, and general operation as needed.
• Must be available to work ticketed events (including most home football games), as needed.
