Job summary

East Stroudsburg University’s Department of Athletics is seeking a dynamic Student Worker for athletic game operations. You will support event staff during games and collaborate with department personnel.

Responsibilities include assisting with game day setup/breakdown, setup of facilities, promotions, and fan engagement, while ensuring a safe, professional environment. Must be available 10–20 hours weekly, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Current ESU student in good academic standing.
• Be registered for the fall/spring semester.
• Ability to work any days and/or shifts needed, including nights and weekends.
• Must work both outside and inside events and tolerate variable weather.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Available to work 10-20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Serve as athletic event staff during athletic events in roles such as ball shagger, parking staff, scoreboard operator, videoboard operator, music, usher, ticketing, concessions, and security.
• Assist in executing game day responsibilities under the game operations supervisor.
• Assist in setup and breakdown of athletic events.
• Assist in facility management, athletic administration, and office responsibilities.
• Assist with in-game promotions and community engagement.
• Provide excellent customer service and a positive environment to fans, teams, and officials.
• Ensure a safe, organized and professional experience at all times.

EastStroudsburg University’s Department of Athletics currently seeks a dynamicindividual to serve as Student Worker for athletic game operations.

Successful candidateswill work in collaboration with other student workers and department personnelas well as under the direction of the ESU Athletics Department.

The duties for this position within the ESU Athletic Department include but are not limited to the following:

• Serveas athletic event staff during athletic events in roles that could includeball shagger, parking staff, scoreboard operator, videoboard operator,music, usher, ticketing, concessions, and security.
• Assistin executing various game day responsibilities at the direction of thegame operations supervisor.
• Assistin the setup and break down of athletic events.
• Assistin facility management, athletic administration and officeresponsibilities as requested.
• Assistwith in-game, event promotions and community engagement.
• Provideexcellent customer service and a positive environment to all fans, teams,and officials at athletic events.
• Ensurea safe, organized and professional experience at all times.

• Ability to exercise sound judgment and solve problems as necessary and work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
• Must be available to work 10-20 hours per week.

Additional Information:

• Hourly pay $9.00
