Job summary

East Stroudsburg University’s Athletics Department seeks a dynamic Athletics Equipment Room Student Worker to assist during practices, games, and in the equipment room. You will support equipment coordination, laundry, inventory, and game-day tasks, under supervision.

Candidate should be an ESU student in good standing, registered for fall/spring, and able to work up to 20 hours weekly, including nights/weekends, delivering reliable and professional support to the staff and athletes.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment room duties during practices and games, and in the equipment room as needed.
• Prepare for practices by setting up drills and equipment.
• Assist in laundry, cleaning, maintaining, and repairing equipment and protective clothing.
• Maintain accurate inventory controls for equipment and apparel.
• Support home and away game day responsibilities as directed by supervisors.
• Ensure a safe, organized and professional environment for coaches and players.

Job description

East Stroudsburg University’s Department of Athletics currently seeks a dynamic individual to serve as
Athletics Equipment Room Student Worker.

Successful candidates will work in collaboration with the equipment room staff and other department personnel members of the ESU Athletic Department.

Job Summary:

The Athletics Equipment Room Student Worker assists the Equipment Room with certain duties during practices, games, and in the equipment room as needed. The duties for this position within the ESU Athletic Department include but are not limited to the following:

• Perform traditional equipment room managerial duties, such as preparing for practices (setting up drills, equipment, etc.), operating the clock at practice, retrieving balls or equipment.
• Assist in coordination of equipment and apparel for competition.
• Assist in laundry services, cleaning, maintaining, and repairing equipment and protective clothing.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory controls for equipment and apparel.
• Assist in executing various home and away game day responsibilities as needed at the direction of the Athletics Equipment Manager or Graduate Assistant Equipment Manager.
• Ensure a safe, organized and professional experience at all times for coaches and players.

Qualifications:

• Current ESU student in good academic standing.
• Be registered for the fall/spring semester.
• Ability to work any days and/or shifts needed, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and solve problems as necessary and work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
• Must be available to work up to 20 hours per week.
• Applicants must be personable, reliable, have great communication skills, and have high levels of integrity and professionalism in all aspects of the role.

Additional Information:

• Hourly Rate $9.00
