Job summary

The Berkley School District is hiring an Athletics Fields Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of district athletic events at fields and facilities. The role includes supervising event staff, coordinating setup/teardown, and remaining on-site for the duration of each event with a focus on safety and smooth operation.

Responsibilities include managing event technology, serving as the primary contact for coaches and officials, and reporting to the Athletic Director.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills for fast-paced events.
• Ability to stay calm, make quick decisions and respond to emergencies.
• Comfort with learning athletic event technology (scoreboards, sound/video systems).
• Availability for afternoon, evening, and weekend events in fall, winter, spring.
• Experience supervising staff and engaging with the community preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain upon hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee execution of district athletic events from setup to cleanup.
• Supervise game management workers for each event.
• Serve as on-site contact for coaches, officials, spectators, and emergencies.
• Operate and troubleshoot event technology (scoreboards, sound, video).
• Perform other duties as assigned by Athletic Director.
