Job summary

UC Berkeley's Intercollegiate Athletics Facilities is seeking a Building Manager to oversee maintenance, scheduling, and coordination of athletic facilities. You will work with campus partners, vendors, and staff to ensure safe, functional buildings for events and daily use.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic calculations.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Basic ability to perform unskilled building maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Building Management: Works with all components of assigned buildings and its operation, maintenance and repair.
• Manages trade workers and their specific work in and around Athletics facilities; identifies, prioritizes, assigns and tracks work.
• Facility Support: Serves as the facility support staff member for sporting and special events; collaborates with Athletics event staff on setups and operations.
• Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination: Works with vendors, contractors and campus stakeholders; updates and maintains work agreements and schedules maintenance.
• Quality Control and Development: Performs quality control checks across facilities; identifies areas for improvement and new projects.
