Job summary

Watertown Public Schools is seeking one or more Field Site Managers to provide on-site oversight of athletic fields during scheduled use by outside organizations. This per-event role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends and involves serving as the on-site district contact for each event.

Responsibilities include monitoring field use, ensuring safety of benches and equipment, and coordinating cleanup and incident reporting with the Facilities Director.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Availability to work assigned events, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work outdoors and walk field areas in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Attend assigned outside-organization events and serve as the on-site district contact.
• Monitor field use to help prevent damage from cleats, moving benches, goals, equipment, or improper use.
• Ensure benches, goals, and other equipment are used safely and returned appropriately.
• Confirm that fields and surrounding areas are cleaned following use, including removal of trash, equipment, and personal items.
• Address routine questions or needs from the outside organization during the event.
• Report damage, safety concerns, policy violations, or maintenance needs promptly to the Facilities Director.
• Complete any required event or incident documentation.
• Follow all training, procedures, and expectations established by the Facilities Director.
