Job summary

Saint Joseph’s University invites applications for the Assistant Director, Athletics Facilities and Event Management to oversee daily operations for 21 intercollegiate programs. You will prepare facilities, supervise student staff, and serve as the primary event manager for home competitions.

Work closely with university facilities, security, and athletic department partners to ensure clean, safe, and well‑run events, while delivering exceptional service to students, staff, and guests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in a highly competitive education-based athletic environment.
• Experience in game management and facilities management.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to use technology for documentation, scheduling, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare athletics facilities for events, including setup and breakdown.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and coordinate with facilities and third parties.
• Coordinate with campus partners on parking, security, and operations for home competitions.
• Recruit, train, and supervise game operations staff and manage payroll.
• Enforce policies, access controls, and event timing; ensure customer service.
