Job summary

Saint Joseph’s University is seeking an Assistant Director for Athletics Facilities and Event Management to oversee daily operations for 21 intercollegiate programs. You will prepare facilities for events, supervise student staff, and serve as primary event manager for home competitions, coordinating with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2–4 years in a highly competitive education-based athletic environment preferred.
• Experience in game management and maintaining facilities preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare athletics facilities for events, including setup, breakdown, staff, and support services.
• Conduct safety inspections of athletics areas.
• Coordinate with University facilities, housekeeping, and third parties to ensure clean, safe facilities.
• Assist with parking, security, and operational issues for home competitions.
• Manage access controls and coordinate with Public Safety as needed.
• Enforce facility hours and policies; coordinate event timing.
• Recruit, train, and supervise game operations student staff.
• Schedule facilities for intercollegiate programs and other uses.
