Job summary

Xavier University Athletics seeks a full-time Operations Specialist to independently and collaboratively perform labor-intensive set-ups, re-sets, and conversions for arena events, spaces, and conference uses. You will respond promptly to event-related issues, coordinating with Athletics, Physical Plant and Campus Police.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School certification is required.
• Demonstrates maintenance and/or custodial skills are required.
• Valid Driver's License and proof of insurability by Xavier's insurance carrier.

Responsibilities

• Perform all event set-ups, conversions, furniture moves, and building re-sets according to specifications.
• Respond to and resolve operations-related requests from internal athletic teams and department members.
• Respond to and resolve operations-related requests from external stakeholders including catering, concessions, and cleaning contractor.
• Identify and perform cleaning duties as needed.
• Assist with facility maintenance issues; coordinate with Physical Plant, Technical Services, or cleaning contractor.
• Receive, store and distribute event-related deliveries.
• Perform snow removal and seasonal support functions as needed.
• Maintain records of work performed, time and materials; report accordingly.
• Wear PPE and follow safety practices and procedures.
