Job summary

Furman University is seeking an Athletics Compliance Director to join our department. This professional role supports the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance in managing a comprehensive compliance program, education initiatives, monitoring, and reporting for student-athletes, staff, and external partners.

The director will oversee NIL education, transfer portal processes, NCAA reports, and policy development, while working under supervision and reporting to the Associate Athletics

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of related experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations as an administrator.

Responsibilities

• Oversee NCAA bylaws and compliance activities for specified bylaws sets.
• Serve as liaison for NIL education with campus and external partners.
• Monitor NIL activities for compliance and reporting requirements.
• Oversee Transfer Portal and roster management.
• Assist with NCAA annual reports and time-management monitoring.
• Recruit and oversee Compliance Interns.
• Educate staff, faculty, students and boosters on NCAA rules.
• Develop and implement athletics compliance policies and procedures.
• Research NCAA rules and provide interpretations to coaches and staff.
• Collaborate with the Southern Conference and NCAA for rule interpretations.
• Investigate secondary and major NCAA violations.
• Attend regional and national conferences.
