Job summary

Alliance Orthopedics is seeking a Physician Extender to support our sports medicine team in Fair Lawn, NJ. This full-time role works alongside medical doctors, orthopedic surgeons, and athletic trainers to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless clinic operations.

The ideal candidate holds a New Jersey Athletic Trainer License, has a degree from an accredited Athletic Training Education Program, and demonstrates excellent communication, organization, and compassionate patient service.

Qualifications

• New Jersey Athletic Trainer License required.
• Degree from an accredited Athletic Training Education Program.
• Knowledge of patient care, medical terminology and clinical pharmacology.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport and trust with patients while understanding their goals.
• Coordinate medical care; obtain history and perform preliminary assessments.
• Manage scheduling, notes, imaging, care plans; record vitals and progress notes securely.
• Serve as liaison between physician and patient; provide support and encouragement.
• Conduct post-procedure follow-up and assist with durable medical equipment.
• Ensure HIPAA/ OSHA compliance and support administrative duties.
