Job summary

Alliance Orthopedics in Middletown, NJ is seeking a Physician Extender to work closely with our medical team, coordinating care and serving as a liaison between patients and physicians.

The ideal candidate holds a NJ Athletic Trainer License, a degree from an accredited Athletic Training Education Program, and familiar with EMR systems. Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset are essential for success in our multidisciplinary practice.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Athletic Trainer License REQUIRED.
• Degree from an accredited Athletic Training Education Program.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Willingness to challenge patients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with patients and understand THEIR GOALS!
• Coordinate medical care, obtain history, and perform preliminary assessments/evaluations
• Organize physician schedules, notes, imaging studies, care plans, etc.
• Record patient vitals, test results, progress notes, and other medical information while maintaining strict confidentiality
• Become the compassionate liaison between the physician and patient, providing support and encouragement
• Conduct post-procedure next day follow-up
• Facilitate distribution of necessary Durable Medical Equipment
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA
• Partner with the Clinic Supervisor to execute additional administrative duties
• Stand out as a valuable team member in collaboration with other healthcare disciplines
