Job summary

Alliance Orthopedics in Middletown, NJ is hiring a Physician Extender to join a dynamic sports medicine team. The role focuses on medical care coordination, liaison duties, and post-procedure follow-up within a multidisciplinary clinic.

The ideal candidate will be a licensed Athletic Trainer with a strong patient-care background, capable of supporting physicians and allied professionals in a fast-growing practice. On-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Athletic Trainer License required.
• Degree from an accredited Athletic Training Education Program.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Willingness to challenge patients and team members.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA/OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport and relationships with our patients; understand THEIR GOALS.
• Coordinate medical care; obtain clinical history and perform preliminary assessments/evaluations.
• Organize physician schedules, notes, imaging studies, care plans; record vitals and progress notes with confidentiality.
• Serve as the compassionate liaison between physician and patient; provide support to families.
• Conduct post-procedure next-day follow-up.
• Facilitate distribution of durable medical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Support administrative duties in collaboration with Clinic Supervisor.
• Collaborate with all healthcare disciplines to help patients get BETTER EVERYDAY.
