Job summary

Alliance Orthopedics in Toms River, NJ is seeking a Physician Extender to work with our sports medicine team. The role focuses on medical care coordination, patient liaison, and administrative support within a rapidly growing multidisciplinary practice.

Candidate must hold a NJ Athletic Trainer License, have an accredited AT program degree, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. ON-THE-JOB TRAINING PROVIDED!!!

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid New Jersey Athletic Trainer License.
• Degree from an accredited Athletic Training Education Program.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical pharmacology for scope.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport and relationships with patients and understand THEIR GOALS.
• Coordinate medical care and obtain clinical history.
• Organize physician schedules, notes, imaging, care plans, and records.
• Record vitals, test results, and progress notes with confidentiality.
• Be the compassionate liaison between physician and patient and families.
• Conduct post-procedure follow-up the next day.
• Facilitate distribution of Durable Medical Equipment.
• Ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance.
• Collaborate with Clinic Supervisor on additional admin duties.
• Contribute to a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.
