Qualifications

• Basic operations of janitorial work.
• Basic methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work.
• Basic safe work practices.
• The use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals (per MSDS sheets).
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Sufficiently communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
• Operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
• Interpret written instructions and warning labels on cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties.

Responsibilities

• High dusting of high surfaces using a treated duster around the room.
• Sanitizing and spot cleaning surfaces below shoulder height.
• Bathroom cleaning with germicidal solution following the stated order.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners.
• Dust mop and vacuum, cleaning under furniture.
• Outdoor grounds cleaning and litter control.
• Clean and maintain public common areas and food court spaces.
• Sanitize floors and ensure cleanliness throughout the room.
• Inspect room and report any issues to supervisor.
• Maintain courteous customer relations and work quietly.
